TODAY WAS QUITE THE ADVENTURE!
It started out as a normal morning, Katie took me for my walks and then went to school. But while she was gone later in the evening the storm hit and the rain was coming down in BUCKETS!!!! I was very excited when Katie came home because I needed to go potty really bad! However when we walked outside not only was it dark but it was still pouring AND the sidewalks were like large swiming pools! I wasnt very happy but Katie still made me go for a walk. I was shaking the water off the entire time we were walking! Then I realized how much fun the large puddles were and Katie and I started to play in them...I HAD A BLAST and got SOAKING WET!!!
Now is where the wierd part comes in, while we were on our way back there was a man standing in the middle of the sidewalk and he was covered in BLOOD!!! EWWWW. Anyways he was talking to himself about here they come, the sirens is what we assumed. And then stopped Katie even though we were both trying EXTREMELY hard to run by him really fast. Anyways, he stoppped us and was telling Katie that it wasnt his fault and that it was an accident, and that he didnt want them to take away his son. WHAT?!?!?! This is when we both got a little nervouse, but Katie being the kind person she is aksed what was wrong. The man said that his son had fallen and stabbed something into his leg and now it was open and gushing blood...again EWW. He then asked Katie and I to go up and make sure his son was okay while he waited for the ambulance, headlines flashed through my head about a girl and her dog being stabbed while checking on a deranged mans bleeding son! This is when we quietly turned around and started to walk as fast as we could back to the SAFE apartment. Needless to say I learned a lot today,1) I do not like going potty in the rain, 2)water makes me shake, and 3)never ever stop to talk to men with blood on them standing in the middle of the sidewalk in a torrential downpour.
Gotta Love Chicago.
Katie is SOOOO lucky to have me around to keep her safe!
I would like to add another little story that I heard Katie telling last night on the phone and it made me realize why dogs are so much smarter then people. So last night Katie went to "Treasure Island" to buy me carrot sticks, and some other stuff, but mainly just carrot sticks. Anyways as she was checking out a couple of police cars pulled up the the front door and she began to get a little curious. She then noticed a man back by the carts who a couple of the employees were talking to, the man was talking about something very serious. Then just as she was about to help pack up her last bag, Katie overheard the cashiers talking about what had happened, they said something about the man had cargo pants on and in the pockets he had stuffed as much Imported Cheese as he could fit. Thats right IMPORTED CHEESE. This is the part in the story where Katie loses it everytime she repeats and everytime she even thinks about the imported cheese shoved in this man's pants. I just thought I should share this because apparently people find this very funny, and it kind of fits with today's events!
Again, Gotta Love Chicago
GOOD NIGHT. (I hope)
